About The Author

Anastasia FoxeAnastasia Foxe is the pen name for Stacey Goitia, who was born in Champaign, Illinois. When she was little, Anastasia believed she plopped out of her mother and into a gigantic glass champagne flute while the doctor yelled, "Cheers!". From her young imagination sprouted her first international travel book, Kitten's Adventures, which garnered optimistic remarks from subjective family members. She spent her childhood creating pirate maps and plays, but didn't discover her true talent until she wrote an essay after she almost drowned on a raft trip and lived to tell her transcendental tale. Her story and artwork won her a full-ride scholarship to a private university where she earned a double degree in Journalism and Graphic Design. Never one to believe in limits (as her excessive lifestyle demonstrates), she immediately went to work in the PR department of a predominately-male international manufacturing company.

Anastasia got married to the love of her life in 1991 and gave birth to two babies who strangely resembled Don King, but the rapture and beauty of her children couldn't rid Anastasia of the writing bug. She ran a cottage PR business until the deadlines took their toll. "I'd stay up until two a.m. to finish a project and get up three hours later to be a mother," says Anastasia. It soon became apparent her children possessed incurable but treatable diseases, and she closed up shop to help them. "I never struggled with the decision to give up my business. We chose to have children, they didn't choose to have us."

Anastasia now combines her Public Relations training with her love of writing to build a career in writing both fiction and non-fiction. "As an author, I don't believe in limiting myself to one genre," says Anastasia. "As long as I develop the proper branding, I should be able to write whatever I choose and make it sell."
